Offroad navigation with QVX

There is no exact definition for offroad. For some guys a gravelroad is offroad, others are going far beyond into the hard core stuff. But QVX is always showing the way in all sorts of offroad.

In May the 2022 Superkarpata Trophy www.superkarpata.com took place in Romania and the challenge apart from driving in heavy terrain is the navigation. The rules are easy. The organizer is giving out a corridor of some gps-coordinates and the participants must just enter the corridor on one side and leave it a couple of days later on the other side. The trick is now, to find the best way through, because it is in the wild of the Carpathian mountain without any roads.

So first you need to know, where you are at any time. Then you need to have precise maps and satellite images and third a good instinct to decide which way to go. QV is always showing where you are and is also offering you all the maps. So you have a lot of information to plan your route and follow it. Offline and offroad.

This is very useful not only in Rally and Trophy, but for many travelers exploring the back country roads and remote areas.

QV is used for many years at the Superkarpata Trophy in preparation and execution. This year the teams "Styria 6x6" participated for the first time and "teamsaurer-puch.at" for the third time and were prepared by us with some special training. They have kindly provided us with a few photos.
