Track
On this page you see and recalculate the statistics of the track, and you'll find some useful tools to manipulate the track.
(V) Tools/Trackprocessor | Click on the arrow to expand or collapse the tools. |
Reduce points | Sometimes a track has too many points, then you can automatically reduce the number of points. Select resolution Low, Medium or Fine and QVX will automatically delete unnecessary points while still keeping the shape of the track. Or select Max points, then you can select a fix number of points to which the track should be reduced. This is useful for certain GPS-devices with a limit on how many points a track can have. |
Elevations | With this option you can add elevation values to all route points to create an elevation profile. It can be done online or offline with additional elevation files. See here for more details. |
Join | Select two or more tracks in List view and this tool is joining them together to one new track. |
Close FPs | Garmin devices mark track points with the FP-flag (first point), after resuming from an interruption. This results in a gap in the track. With this tool you can close all the gaps in the track. |
Copy to new route | Create a new route with one route waypoint for each trackpoint. |
Revert track | Reverts the track |
Calc speed/course | Some tracks have no information on course or speed. With this tool QVX is calculating speed and course from the coordinates and the time. |
